First of all, thank you all for your support for The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei. We have always upheld epidemic prevention regulations and cared about the health and safety of all guests, employees and their families.
On May 9th, 2021, the Taipei City Health Bureau notified us that a confirmed case had visited Seven Scholars Lounge in the hotel on May 3rd, 2021. As soon as we received the news, we activated the proper disinfection and prevention activities. Last night (5/9), we immediately arranged to disinfect the entire hotel, including public areas, outdoor swimming pool, guest elevators, basement, and etc.
Seven Scholars Lounge has been temporarily closed for seven days (5/10-5/16), and disinfection will be reinforced after this period. All our restaurants are cleaned in accordance with regulations to ensure the health and safety of hotel guests and employees.
We continue to require all staff measure their temperature twice a day, wear masks and gloves during operations. Additionally, we use alcohol to disinfect and request employees to wash hands frequently when performing duties.
The hotel maintains a rigorous attitude in handling these affairs. With the assistance and efforts of all colleagues, the hotel operations will continue. The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei would like to thank you all for caring and supporting us. We wish you all good health and safety.
