Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei Picks Up Safe Travels Certification
International Certification Recognizes Best Practices
The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei has earned the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travels Certification. The hotel received official certification on April 16 at a ceremony held by the Taipei City Government. It now joins a select group of international hoteliers that have adopted global safety and hygiene protocols developed by the WTTC. It is also one of only five hotels in Taiwan authorized to display the Safe Travels Certification.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei has undertaken rigorous safety and hygiene precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of its customers. These will continue post-pandemic, with added emphasis placed on zero-contact services and accelerated confirmation of travelers’ health information to further enhance customer peace of mind and improve business.
With business travel expect to first recover post-pandemic, followed by family travel, study, and recreational tourism, the revitalization of Taiwan’s MICE industry is a top priority. The Safe Travels Certification of the Howard Plaza Taipei Hotel and other hospitality businesses in Taipei reaffirm the city’s standing in the world as a desirable location for international MICE events and will help grow Taiwan’s tourism industry.
