Hsinchu Cheng Huang Temple

Hsinchu Du Cheng Huang Temple was constructed during the 13th year of Quian Long of the Qing dynasty (in 1748). It is a city relic. Every July of the lunar calendar, a great festival of worship will be held, gathering nationwide renowned local snacks such as Hsinchu rice noodle, fish ball soup, meatballs and spring rolls on its doorstep.
The Catholic Church

The Catholic Church is situated at the intersection of Zhongzheng Rd and Beida Rd, thus also known as Beida Church. It was built in 1957 as the mother of churches in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli, known as the mother church. It is an important gathering place for the Catholics of Hushinchu.
Hsinchu Government Hall

The Hsinchu Government Hall was established in 1925 during Colonial Japan in western style. The brick strengthened two story building well preserved the government architecture, a precious and important national monument.
